Thinking about a career in home inspections? Young Inspection Services is looking for new team members.

This position is ideal for anyone who has previous experience in building, construction, or related industries and is looking to use their work experience in a different capacity or move to an “off the tools” role. Previous related experience is a definite asset, but we may be willing to train the ideal applicant from scratch.

What we offer:

The opportunity for a flexible work schedule. After their initial training period, team members will have the opportunity to adjust their availability to fit their needs, providing minimum production standards are met.

A competitive salary range of $30-$45 per hour + mileage (if applicable), and participation in company profit sharing after 1 year of employment.

This position is a permanent position offering a guaranteed average of 32 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours, particularly during the busier real estate season of April to October. Transition to 40 hours per week as you gain experience is possible.

• Understand that our clients are trusting for advice on possibly the most important purchase they will ever make, and possess the desire to perform the highest level of service to every client, every day.
• Have a great attitude and enjoy interacting with clients and forming relationships with referring partners.  A friendly, outgoing personality is essential.
• Be extremely reliable. Our service is provided in accordance with tight real estate timelines that leave little room for changes once scheduled.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Be competent with computers.
• Be a team player, with an enthusiasm for doing what it takes to get the job done.
• Enjoy investigation and problem-solving.
• Have solid knowledge of basic systems and components of a residential home.
• Have a level of physical fitness to be able to work on ladders, access roofs, and attic spaces, and enter crawl spaces.
• Be eager to participate in ongoing training in both technical and “soft skill” aspects of home inspections.
• Be able to work primarily on their own, with the ability to think on their feet and make decisions on the fly.
• Be open to occasional travel.
• Consent to a criminal record check, driving record check, and drug test.
